It is vital that you prepare carefully before starting to operate your business. This should reduce the chance of something going wrong. The business plan is a document that provides key details of the business. Lenders will often ask to see a business plan before lending money to a new business venture.

Task 1 - Prepare a business plan for your business. You can use the template above, or use your own format.
Task 2 - Prepare your pitch (presentation) for the NIS Dragons who will decide what % of your required financing they will lend at the preferred rate.

Here is the task sheet and rubric for the assessment:

The maximum loan amount you can request is 500rmb.
*If your pitch achieves a grade 7 or 8 you will be loaned the full amount at 2% interest.
*If your pitch achieves a grade 5 or 6 you will be loaned 80% of the amount at 2% interest.
*If your pitch achieves a grade 3 or 4 you will be loaned 60% of the amount at 2% interest.
*If your pitch achieves a grade 1 or 2 you will be loaned 40% of the amount at 2% interest.
You may request extra funds at 5% interest up to a maximum of 500rmb.

10A - Mr Underwoods' class: Thursday 17th January
10B - Mrs Clarke's class: Thursday 17th January
10C - Mr Battye's class: Tuesday 15th and Thursday 17th January
Remember to dress in formal 'business style' clothing for the presentation. This is a powerful way to communicate to the financiers that you are committed to success.
